As Paramus continues to grow, our district faces both exciting opportunities and significant challenges. With new multi-family developments projected to bring over 400 additional students to our schools, we need to act strategically to maintain the high standards of education our community values.
Our classrooms, teachers, and resources must be prepared to accommodate this growth while preserving effective class sizes and instructional quality. This requires careful, proactive planning and investment in both facilities and staffing. By making fiscally responsible choices, we can ensure that our investments are sustainable, enabling us to provide quality education while managing our budget effectively. By anticipating these changes now, we can ensure that our students continue to learn in environments conducive to their success.
Many of our district’s buildings and facilities are aging and in need of updates. Modern, safe, and well-equipped spaces are essential for effective learning. I will prioritize upgrading our infrastructure to ensure that our students and teachers have the spaces they need to excel. Through strategic planning, we can make fiscally responsible investments that not only improve our schools but also demonstrate our commitment to environmental stewardship—embracing energy-efficient designs and sustainable practices. By considering both budgetary impact and ecological benefits, we can make meaningful improvements that enhance our educational environment and benefit the broader community.
